Terry Broome
Terry has an extensive police background and has been involved with SAFEchild right from the beginning in 1999. He has trained a wide range of voluntary, youth and sports groups and is currently concentrating on working with National SAFEchild with some of the market leaders in the leisure industry, including Center Parcs and Park Resorts.

Terry said the best thing about working with SAFEchild is the opportunity to work with so many people who are committed to helping children and young people make the best of their opportunities through sport and leisure activities. When not working for SAFEchild Terry can be found walking the Fairways at Aldeburgh Golf Club.

  
Claire Henwood
Claire's role is Service Manager for Sports and Arts. Working with the County Sports Partnership, School Sports Partnerships and Local Arts Partnerships, amongst others. She also leads on the Active Waveney Sports Partnership, bringing together key partners in sport and physical activity to support the development of projects/programmes to increase participation levels.

Her role also supports young volunteer programmes, placing young people in clubs and assisting them in gaining industry qualifications. The role also covers a countryside and play element, encouraging more access to the environment we live in. Claire has been working in local government since October 1993 and has been involved with SAFEchild since in first started.

  
Stuart McCallum
Stuart lives in Ipswich, has a fantastic young son and has been a police officer for 23 years, serving in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Stowmarket, HQ, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. Most of his service has been as a detective, investigating criminal offences including murder, robbery, serious sexual assault and specialising in Child Abuse Investigation. More recently, as a Detective Inspector, he has been the manager of the local police Victim Care Centre, leading a team of 15 colleagues combining Child Abuse Investigation with Safeguarding Adults and victims of domestic abuse and hate crime.

When not at work, Stuart enjoys a vibrant family life and can sometimes be found on a golf course (allegedly).
  
Jill Powell
Jill was part of the initial group which which developed into SAFEchild and SAFEadult. With an extensive experience of working for the NHS, Jill was seconded to Social Care Services and became co-ordinator of multi agency training. She led on joint training of police and social care workers to interview children who had been possible victims or witnesses to sexual or physical abuse. These interviews are recorded and used as the child's evidence in court.

Jill has organised national conferences and has also been the advisor to the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. She has worked with many faith groups, training and advising on practice and procedures. Following her retirement and a short break she is very happy to be working with the charity.
  
  Hilary Offord
Hilary is a very experienced child protection worker and is Community Project Worker at the NSPCC in Ipswich. She is an active committee member of the Ipswich Community Playbus and Homestart Suffolk Coastal.

Outside work Hilary enjoys spending time with her family, foreign travel particularly to Rhodes, reading and walking.


Louise Rosher
Louise has lived in Suffolk since 1998 and currently lives in Ipswich. She has worked for Suffolk Constabulary for 12 years, as a police officer 1998-2004, a case progression officer 2004-2006 and a press officer since 2006.

Prior to joining Suffolk Constabulary Louise was an Army officer from 1993-1998 and served in Canterbury, Omagh in Northern Ireland and Winchester. Louise has personal reasons for wanting to support SAFEchild and is committed to promoting the charity to the public via the media. When not at work, Louise enjoys Salsa dancing, bargain hunting, eating out, going to the cinema, attending to her white pigeons and relaxing.
