As a charity we understand the need to make every penny count, that's why all of the monies we generate are ploughed back into our charitable objectives to educate the public and support our members. It's also why we're able to offer not-for-profit organisations and charities SAFEchild membership for just £39.50.

There is a collective responsibility to safeguard children and young people who are involved with any organisation outside of the family unit. By joining SAFEchild you not only increase your knowledge of child protection best practice but also demonstrate to others that you are discharging your duty of care in a responsible manner.

The effects of child abuse can be traumatic for the child involved and the immediate family. However the impact on an organisation that allowed the abuse to occur through negligence or ignorance can also be significant, leading in some cases to prosecution and imprisonment. Therefore perhaps the question is not 'why join now' but rather, 'can I afford not to join now?'
